George the poet a Ugandan Spoken word, Poet and rapper based in London, United kingdom who is well-known for his My City piece all over London and the UK. He was last month nominated in the same category with Eddy Kenzo for International Act Africa-Viewers choice award at the BET AWARDS 2015 which EDDY did win.

Young George the Poet talks to Mary Anne Hobbs about his belief that music should educate the kids.

George Mpanga has been rapping since the age of 15. While studying politics, psychology and sociology at Cambridge University he used his skills as a writer to run poetry workshops for children in London.- BBC
