While simply uploading music and hoping for the best works out for some, most musicians need to promote their work if they want to make their mark with audiences. Music promotion is a broad term that covers everything from urging fans to listen to new music over social media to launching a costly professional PR […]
I had a conversation with an old friend of mine – about life, work an life again and really just life. Life encompasses; work, love, pain and more. The topics we had were revolving around work, finances and then hip hop. He said something about how UG Hip Hop has a lot of it’s politics, […]
If you are reading this, likely the year is over or is coming to an end. 2018 has been an interesting year for hip hop most of the time. On a sad note: UG Hip Hop lost Mulekwa (R.I.P) towards the end of November. You might have missed some of these projects or you just […]
The past, the future or maybe like S.T.R.A.P the Futuristic Past – What would we prefer or need? The present?

The cover art to this album is a painting of Jesus’ appearance to Magdalene.
Circa 2014, just thinking about recording my second song “R.H.O.D.A. State” I hit Buddies Studios, in the glory days of Andy Music and earlier but not so popular days of The Weezy on the Beat, I meet Big Tril. Tall guy, easy going and so approachable. I joined him on the couch and sat just […]
I was busy minding my business and the phrase “dig deeper” came to thought. I thought about how it has been a while since I last used my digital ink to talk UG Hip Hop. When was the last time I created a playlist based off new tracks? I personally don’t recall. But I so […]
“Parte After Parte” is currently making making rounds and having career defining rotation for Big Tril. The Striker Ent’ artist has the hottest track right which was released on Aug 5 and everyone who hears it is left with the “after Parte , after Parte’ effect. The official video includes compiled clips of fans and […]
