The Mith is so busy creating for the culture. His yet to be launched The So UG podcast is going to be another avenue to tell the Ugandan story especially of the creatives in UG Hip Hop. With very few media alternatives to tell, highlight Ugandan Hip Hop podcasts are some of go to mediums to consider – and The So UG podcast is set to offer with passion.
Talking to The Mith on 16 May, 2021 at the MTN UG Hip Hop Awards ’21, he revealed that it would come out soon and I think very soon. The Mith hinted on the line up and the angle in which he would love the podcast to take. He has been sharing pictures with guests such as Kella Mckenzie, Babaluku, Byg Kahuna a gesture that more guests will brace the show.
About 6 years ago, when Hip Hop Uganda Live/The NuveyLive Podcast was steering conversations it was a blessing to see The Urban Hype pod come up. The Tribe has its podcast as well and seeing The Mith come out as an elder to tell stories or evoke them, is even much refreshing.
Overtly, it is an extension to his Mr. So UG brand and greatly another win for UG Hip Hop since the lifeline of the culture depends on iniatives like these. One of the biggest motivation is “…to tell our stories about our people…” The Mith said in part.
The Mith will be the show host for the podcast.
