The UG Hip Hop Awards have returned for their annual celebration of hip hop culture, and we are honoured to share that NUVEYLIVE has once again been nominated for Media Personality of the Year marking the fourth consecutive year that we have earned recognition in this competitive category having won the award in this very same category last year.
The UG Hiphop Awards have grown into one of the most important gatherings for the hip hop community in Uganda. They serve as a mirror. They reflect what the culture has achieved. They show how far it has evolved. They highlight the people who continue to push it forward. Us being nominated is about being acknowledged by the very culture we work tirelessly to document and promote.

We are honoured to stand alongside other influential figures and platforms nominated in the same category this year. Their work, passion and dedication contribute equally to the vibrancy of the hip hop community. Their presence on this list shows just how strong the media landscape around Ugandan Hip Hop has grown. We are nominated with Berieka Nationz, Doro Gabzee, K3n Kyosh, Stillken Music, and Audio Adam. This nomination is for Media Personality of the Year. Each of these nominees brings something unique to the table and the diversity in this category highlights how multifaceted Ugandan hip hop media has become.
Most of the entities can be referred to as “new media” practitioners. This sphere has allowed the Hip Hop story to be told without limits.
This year’s ceremony will be held on 5th December. It will bring together rappers, producers, DJs, videographers, media personalities, and supporters from every corner of the country. It promises to be a night that celebrates not just winners, but the collective movement of Ugandan hip hop.
