Bantu Clan (Chimey and Kendie) have bounced back with a highly driven afro beat song with scatters of rap here and there – Tonight. With a number of live instruments paraded to make the track a very organic feel the duo speak of their need to get sensual in the supposed night.
Bantu Clan is blessed to have Rasto pro for their production which gives them a more diverse appeal to their music on previous tracks and Tonight now. On first listen the sound transfers you to an African beat informed song with groovy instrumentation coupled below the soothing Kudzie’s voice. Buka Chimey offers a few raps on the track and he sounds so lean with the flow and somewhat sleazy. One may mistake him for a dance-hall artist with the patois he keeps spitting as fillers.
Tonight is produced, mixed and mastered by Rasto Pon D’ Beats at Bantu Productions Uganda. The band has had a number of releases this year like Dance With Me featuring Maro and Body To Body. They likely must be working on a full length even though we haven’t heard from the concerning an EP or LP.
Otherwise this one is for the dancing floor or one to reassure your better half.
