Read Time:45 Seconds

Zed Monk won his first award at about 18 years old. At the beginning of the year he announced that he would attempt to break the record for longest rap marathon by an individual set by Japanese rapper MC PONEY.

Kabuubi Akram aka Zed Monk started this streak on 3 May (by press time he had achieved 24 hours). He aims at surpassing the 48 hours record by at least achieving 55 hours or at most 80 hours.

The budding rapper is not new to freestyle rapping. He made his debut on the weekly Street Credit show hosted by Breezy Beats.

This move has garnered attention for him from media houses , public figures, Uganda Musicians’ association and even new fans.

Zed is the first Ugandan rapper to challenge the record or attempt to rap individually for over 10 hours.

Join him at Namaste Kampala while sets a new record.
