It is official Navio has released “Hamadi” official music video. The song features the legend late Elly Wamala
Navio makes an effort to relive the times probably (mid 60s, late 70s, 80s or early 90s) through Shasha Vybz lens and giving Elly Wamala’s Hamadi a modern touch and visual.
He taps into the skills of Sasha Vybz to execute a heavily stylish and freshly stunning video. Navio moves away from the usual modern look. It is a thought out and conceptualized short film – telling the story of Hamadi (Elly Wamala and Navio).
The projects explores retro fashion, party life and presents royalty after the hustle.
The visual is exciting, creates nostalgia and some confusion when you notice Navio’s shades feel strikingly modern – a possible intended trope to merge the past and the present.
“Hamadi” is the opening track off Navio’s sixth album Vibes Out The East (VOTE 2022) produced by Aethan Music and recorded by Baru.
