Last weekend, Saturday 28 May, 2022 Ugandan Hip Hop had yet another electic night celebrating the culture. The MTN powered Ugandan Hip Hop Awards sixth edition transpired attracting fans, artistes, media and other stake holders.

The event hosted by Ninja C and co host Timothy Code, had a special award for Steve Jean a pioneer producer who was celebrated with a Lifetime Achievement award, while Breakfast Jam Uganda was recognised for the work they’ve done using Hip Hop to reach out communities. Kaweesi Mark recieved the award as a founding member present.
The biggest winners of the night were AJ Stylz, 207 and Keinoh scooping two awards each. Unlike previous years, each winner in any category walked away with 1 million Uganda Shillings.
