Stillken Music presents…
The “Stillken Cypher” introduces seemingly newer rappers on the scene from Xydan, Rapa Camio, Romanni, Misty Kats, William YOLO to Deed. Produced by 207, this cipher is an expression of the agony of the come up, being the best out, originality and also the self belief in pursuing a dream – a notion almost all the rappers on it share.
It is a decent introduction of the six rappers.
The project pushed by Matovu Kane of Stillken Music shows power of collaboration, it only lacked a female voice (yes rap in so male dominated). Should we say there are no new females rapping?
This is something to think about. There’s a representation issue and more females should be inspired.
Away from that, the cipher is raw, honest and a good gesture whose gun and bloody themed cover was not necessary. The closing verse by Deed sums up everything being said on the record – give the young artistes a chance and support them whenever.
